Sorry I haven’t been uploading lately. O_O I have school and stuff. But I am working on it…

Ok finally here’s Jaime! I stayed up too late last night trying to upload the others so I went to sleep. Anyway, he’s here now, so… yeah.

Name: Jaime Lebeau

Age: 12

Eye colour: Brown

Hair colour: Red/Orange

Bio: Jaime was born in June 1882. He grew up in a small house with 6 brothers and 5 sisters. 8 children were from a different mother. He has 3 older siblings: his sister Rosalie, and twin brothers. He’s the youngest from the first mother. Jaime’ sister moved out when he was nine, and his brothers ran away and became homeless. Jaime’s father was a carefree man who let Jaime do what he wanted. None of his siblings really depended on him for anything, so he often found himself hanging around by himself. This was when he started to climb around everything and even hang from the windows. He never wanted to be an acrobat, but it was extremely easy to tell with a few years practice he could possibly be a contortionist.

He met Loui at a coffee shop when he was very young. (before he started climbing things) Jaime was allowed to come over whenever he wanted to, and so he showed up quite often. A few years later, Jaime’s step-mother had another baby and decided she had  enough with Jaime’s “carelessness”. He never had much of an education so she sent him off to the school where Loui decided he would go with him.

At the school, Jaime discovered an ability he had that he never noticed before. If he closed his right eye, everything was weirdly coloured and quite dark. However, there were numerous glowing figures everywhere he looked. Everyone was glowing with a white aura, except for Loui who glowed yellow and Tyrell who glowed blue. After discussing the abilities they all had in secret, Jaime became a member of a small society Tyrell organized. He looked for wandering souls and Tyrell devoured them, leaving the rest of the school in peace.

When Barnaby entered the school, Jaime was very surprised to see that he too had a blue glow to him. After Barnaby also joined the society, Jaime made a fast friendship with him.

Note: Normally a “seer”, a person who can see souls, has this ability in both eyes. Jaime only has it in one because it was genetically passed down from a very distant relative. A seers’ eyes appear more blurry than normal eyes. “Eaters” can only sense/smell souls, not see them.

Forgive me for the angst in this character. Loui’s my baby. I know there’s creepy angst right at the beginning of his bio… sorry.

Name: Loui Fabrice

Age: 12

Eye colour: Grey

Hair colour: Sandy brown

Biography: Loui was born in 1882. Shortly after he was born his mother, Christene, bled to death. Loui was raised by his loving father Jeffrey. The two were inseparable. He found out that he had the power to suck loose souls into his body, more commonly known as a “shell”. His father knew about this and decided to try and keep it a secret to protect him. Loui met Jaime when he was about five years old. From the day he met Jaime he has never left his side.

Loui’s hair used to fall over his forehead and hang in short ringlets behind his ears until he was about nine when he stole a photograph of his mother from Jeffrey and styled his hair to look like hers. He’s kept it that way ever since, though it has grown some.

Later in the same year Loui was possessed by a negative ghost.(see notes) The negative ghost ate away at his insides so much that his pupils disappeared. (My logic is dumb) Jaime saved him by quickly getting him to Tyrell despite it being 4:00 in the morning and the fact he had to carry someone of almost equal weight up three flights of stairs. That was the night Loui fell in love with Jaime. (Normally that would be a spoiler, but there are a lot of hints, so…)

Loui is loyal to his friends and will do anything to keep them out of danger, despite being kind of a wimp.

Note: Negative ghosts: Is a type of ghost that is created when a normal soul tricks a human into trading their soul over to them. When the human dies, the negative ghost is created. Negative ghosts are extremely dangerous and deadly to beings with the power to eat souls. It’s not unusual to see an “eater” die from trying to devour one. If a “shell” gets possessed by a negative ghost, it will slowly eat away at their insides until they die or the ghost is somehow removed from their body.

Tyrell’s biography was really hard to do without spoiling everything. He has a lot of stuff to spoil and not a whole lot of stuff to talk about on the outside.

Name: Tyrell Baudin

Age: 14

Eye colour: Blue

Hair colour: Black

Biography: Tyrell was also born in Provence, France (1880). -The others were too so how about I just don’t write that bit anymore- He lived on a crowded street in a very small apartment for the majority of his childhood. His mother (unnamed) didn’t care much for the young boy and spent most of her days acting like he didn’t really exist. At least, she were like that after a certain incident. (sorry, it’s a spoiler) Tyrell’s father had the ability to eat ghosts too but died while attempting to devour a negative ghost. (see Loui’s bio)

Even before the incident Tyrell ran to-and-fro doing work that normally adults would do or at least people older than him. Not that he didn’t enjoy doing things for people.

Tyrell sent himself to the school after the incident. Him and his friends, Jaime and Loui, who he’d known since early childhood went to the same school. The principal of the school acted very kindly towards Tyrell after the great shock “the incident” caused him. Tyrell befriended the principal’s eight-year-old granddaughter Eve who sometimes came to the school to see her grandfather. Tyrell made quite an attachment to her, treating her like a little sister.

He always got along very well with children, and after the principal noticed, he let Tyrell skip class to look after the younger ones. Tyrell’s skipping class worried the others.

He cares for his friends a lot and later realizes he cares for Barnaby equally.

Note: I know the “incident” is probably annoying but I can’t tell yet!

Finally I have some character sheets (or whatever) to put up here! I did these a couple of days ago and it took me all day…

Ok, here’s some info! (I added the hair and eye colour just because I felt like it… I know you can tell already.)

Name: Barnaby J. Bisette

Age: 13

Eye colour: Green

Hair colour: Blonde

Biography: Barnaby was born in Provence, France in 1881. His father is named Lord Godard Bisette, therefore giving Barnaby the title “Young Master”.

Barnaby never had any siblings but when he was little he often tried to play with his cousins who were too old for him. His tutor, Jules, was more of a big brother to him. He later befriended his bodyguard’s son Victor.

After his father Lord Godard was sent to Paris to deal with a financial crisis, he sent Barnaby to an all boys boarding school; the school that used to be a castle hundreds of years ago.

At the school Barnaby met Jaime and Loui first. He was assigned the same room as Tyrell because there were no free rooms for his grade. After a little while, Barnaby befriended Loui and Jaime but noticed Tyrell usually ignored him.

During his first week at the school Barnaby found out that he had a special ability: the ability to devour loose souls for energy. Tyrell has this power too and Barnaby learns that they all have abilities, though it was supposed to be a secret.

Barnaby joins the group in order to defeat the many, many ghosts of the school. He later befriends Tyrell.

I think I might put in some relationship charts or whatever but I’m not sure. The relationships of the characters are littered with spoilers.

Note: Loose souls meaning “souls without a shell” or “without a body”

I was up really late last night drawing this one. It’s also done in a fairly different style but as I might have mentioned, I’m experimenting.

This is what these two look like the first time they appear in the story. They’re sitting in one of the big windows at the school.

Their legs look especially long and skinny here but that’s just because I was trying a different style.
